América Futebol Clube, commonly known as América, was a Brazilian football team based in Joinville, Santa Catarina state. They won the Campeonato Catarinense five times.

History

The club was founded on June 14, 1914. They won the Campeonato Catarinense in 1947, 1948, 1951, 1952, and in 1971.[1] The club merged its football department with Caxias-SC's football department on January 29, 1976, to form Joinville Esporte Clube.

América Futebol Clube played their home games at Estádio Olímpico Sadalla Amin Ghanem. The stadium had a maximum capacity of 2,500 people.
